Transformers: The Game

Transformers: The Game is the title of many video game versions based on the 2007 live-action film Transformers, published in North America in June 2007. Traveler’s Tales created home console and PC versions for the PlayStation 2, Xbox 360, Wii, PlayStation 3, and PC. Savage Entertainment created a separate PlayStation Portable version. The Nintendo DS versions of Transformers: The Game are Transformers Autobots and Transformers Decepticons. Vicarious Visions, the company entrusted with porting the game to the Nintendo DS, split the DS version into two independent titles. Autobots take the heroes’ point of view, while Decepticons take the villains’. Unlike games with many SKUs, such as Pokémon, which have only slight variations between versions, these are two distinct games with some fundamental similarities but different characters, quests, and locales.
